Mission of this role

You are the team lead of two of our teams. Each is responsible for their product stream: Equipment planning & tracking and Project Management.

The equipment product is the core of our product suite, our most mature product. It is extensively used by the majority of our customers to plan and track all equipment going to large events. Grow this team so it is able to build the next iteration of this product.

Rentman is adding a third standalone product to its portfolio: project and task management. With this product, our customers keep track of all their tasks and register the time spent on them to keep their projects within budget. Your mission is to make the launch of this product a big success.

You work closely with Product Managers and Tech Owners within clear ownership boundaries. Product defines what we build, Tech Owners guide how we build it, and you ensure teams have the structure, clarity, and support to deliver sustainably.

What are you going to do

  • You build and scale strong teams by coaching, hiring, and, when needed, making difficult people decisions. You ensure clear role ownership and focus on placing the right people in the right roles.

  • You create predictable delivery by owning planning rhythms, execution cadence, and prioritisation, making capacity, progress, and trade-offs transparent. Sprint budgets and time tracking across features, bugs, and technical debt are in place and visible.

  • You partner closely with Product Managers on capacity planning, risks, dependencies, and decision-making, ensuring teams can deliver valuable outcomes without burning out or cutting corners.

  • You safeguard product quality by ensuring teams take ownership of defects and work in sustainable ways. You actively strengthen team culture through team weeks, rituals, and shared moments that build trust, alignment, and collaboration.

  • Guide Rentman into the AI era! Use it where usable, be critical when needed, and be open to experiment! Take your team with you on this journey.
